Job Description - Sales Development Representative

You will be dedicated to providing best in class service, developing communications and building strong relationships with travel agents, agencies and the tourism industry at large across North America.

You will collaborate with well-reputed valued travel agents and their clients to bring them Bike Street Boys’ advantage of small group and exclusive, self-guided cycling tours across India and Bhutan. You will be instrumental to the growth of the company’s North American business.

Prior industry experience and understanding of business and sales development in the travel and tourism industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Typical duties include:

  • Meeting sales targets
  • Promoting and selling cycling holiday packages
  • Actively pursuing marketing generated leads to close business
  • Finding innovative ways to promote our itineraries
  • Finding new channels and avenues for business growth
  • Supporting promotional campaigns with creative ideas
  • Providing advice about visas and passports
  • Dealing with inbound inquiries and complaints

  • Fluency in foreign (particularly European) languages and personal travel experience are also highly valued 

Educational qualifications:

A degree in any subject is acceptable, although travel, tourism, languages, leisure, business studies or management degree holders may be at an advantage. A travel training company qualification or relevant travel agency, retail or sales work experience can also be helpful.
